EV Olive Oil & the Level of Demand Associated With It

By Rob Sutter

EV olive oil is something that deserves much more attention than it has gained and I don't think anyone can argue with me for long on the matter. For us in the United States, we have been given various types of the oil and maybe we don't take into account how other areas of the world feel about it. Maybe they are parts of the world which don't have it in large amounts, or any amounts for that matter. To say that this is unfortunate would be an understatement.

If you're going to talk about why other parts of the world haven't been able to use this oil as much as others, I think one of the biggest factors is cost. This oil may not exactly come cheap, which means that these parts of the world have to pay better attention to how their economies are. Costs have to be allocated accordingly, after all. However, I think that there are brands which can be invested in without ever compromising one's bank account.

According to the International Olive Council newsletter that was released last month, it seems like Japan has beaten out even China in terms of EV olive oil demand. The data depicted that, five months into the season in which the oil is most seen, imports are up a quarter of what they have been before. While other areas of the world have grown in terms of such demand, Japan has outclassed many of them. It's the kind of information which deserves the attention of companies like Bellucci Premium.

While Japan might have seen a tremendous leap, it wasn't the only part of the world to do so. In fact, if you take a moment to look at India, you can see that it had a great amount of imports over the past season when the olives were prevalent. The newsletter reported on this, saying that imports had gone up 74 percent. Compare that to Japan's increases of only 23 percent and I think it is clear just how much larger the demand is in some far-off regions.

I strongly believe that EV olive oil demand can grow but it's a matter of where in the world such growth can be seen. It's apparent that Japan and India have seen higher levels of demand, which I find to be great news. The facts about this oil are spreading to wider reaches and they understand all of the benefits that come with them. Antioxidants, monounsaturated fats, and all, I think it's clear why this oil shows no signs of dropping in terms of usage.
