Kick The Caffeine Habit With A Coffee Substitute

By Marla Mills

Even though coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world today, it is not one of the healthiest simply because of the amount of caffeine in it. This beverage is known to dehydrate the body quickly and may even make the kidney or liver wear out. So if one would want to kick off the habit of consuming caffeine, then it is best that he take a coffee substitute instead.

One really good coffee substitute is known as teeccino which is made out of barley and is said to be very good for the overall health of the body. The great thing about this drink is that it has a texture that is very much like normal coffees but does not contain caffeine. Also, it is gluten free which means that people who have bodies that are sensitive to gluten will have no worries.

The dandelion root is a great ingredient to use when one would want to make a drink that can replace normal coffees. The best part is that it goes with other healthy and tasty drinks like almond milk or soy bean milk. It is also gluten free which means that it is very healthy to consume if one is afraid of getting some long term illnesses.

A definite must in the list would be matcha tea which is the closest thing that one can get to drinking caffeine. Yes this drink does contain a little bit of caffeine in it but it is only a little bit and just about enough to give people energy. By drinking this, one does not need to go cold turkey when he is trying to kick off the habit of not taking caffeine.

For those who are lovers of latte drinks, it is actually possible to satisfy that craving without having to intake any coffee. If one loves a hot glass of latte in the middle of work, then he may opt to drink a vanilla latte. He may just heat up some roasted vanilla almond milk and add a dash of chocolate powder to make it taste nicer.

Genmaicha is also known to be one of the best beverages that fit into this type of category. Basically, genmaicha is just some green tea that has a little bit of roasted brown rice inside of it. The brown rice will make the tea have a rather nutty taste and a crunchy texture that many people actually do enjoy.

If one is dependent on caffeine to give them their daily dose of energy, then he may just use fruit shakes as a substitute. Fruit smoothies are really great for both the body and the tongue because not only do they taste good, but they are good for health too. In fact, they are able to naturally give the body the energy that it needs in order to go through daily routines.

So if one would want a good coffee substitute, then he may actually choose from the list. These are definitely healthier alternatives that are better for the body and will also serve as an energy booster. They also taste really good too.
