You're probably conscious that veggies and fruits are excellent choices when you're looking for healthy food. But were you aware that chocolate also has many benefits? Listed below are 7 of the rewards you can gain by eating dark chocolate.

Dark chocolate lets you consume less.

While chocolate certainly can't be described as a weight-loss food, it may help reduce your desire for food. Just a little piece of chocolates is in fact rich in fiber, which fills you up and may prevent you from snacking even more. A study in Copenhagen, Denmark, revealed that dark chocolate reduced hungers for salty, sweet foods.

Chocolate will help you stop hacking and coughing.

Instead of take a cough syrup that contains codeine, have some dark chocolate. It contains theobromine, an element that has been shown to reduce the response of the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve is the part of your brain that sparks coughing.

Chocolate makes your heart healthy.

Dark chocolate is particularly adept at reducing inflammation, which in turn, decreases your risk of cardiovascular disease. Eating chocolate regularly will decrease your blood pressure and lower Bad cholesterol.

Chocolate reduces your chance of heart stroke.

In one study, women who ate forty five grams of chocolate every week enjoyed a lower risk of stroke (20% less) than ladies who ate less or no dark chocolate.

Chocolate protects your skin from damage.

Dark chocolate contains flavonoids, which are an anti-oxidant. Flavonoids defend your skin from sun-damage caused by UV rays. There's insufficient protection in chocolates to protect you completely-you still have to wear sun block. But now you have a great reason to have a bite of dark chocolate before showing up in the ocean!

Chocolate allows you to become joyful.

How can you not be joyful when there's a smooth, rich piece of dark chocolate melting on your mouth? Enjoying foods that you love like chocolate-makes you feel happy. Studies regularly show that individuals who eat dark chocolate feel less stressed. No real surprise there!

Chocolate boosts your blood flow.

Improved blood flow is helpful in many ways: improved blood flow, which in turn influences your entire body. As an example, some study shows that chocolate increases blood flow to the retina, which improves vision. Increased blood flow to the brain helps some study participants focus better and stay more attentive. Who wouldn't want to be smarter, with clearer eyesight?
