Could Extra Virgin Olive Oil Recipes Bring Elements of Scent?

By Rob Sutter

With so many benefits to extra virgin olive oil recipes, one has to wonder what exactly plays the biggest part. Some people will tell you that the antioxidant count plays the biggest part since that's the component which plays the biggest part in maintaining the immune system. While I'm not going to deny this idea, there seems to be new evidence which may prove differently. In spite of what many of us have thought of this oil beforehand, the benefits may primarily lie in the aroma it has.

A blog post showcased on the New York Times website talked about how the scent of this oil type can help the food utilized with it. Extra virgin olive oil recipes, for examples, can be assisted thanks to the aromatic extract of the oil in question if it's brought in. The amount of calories in the food is lessened and this means that blood sugar is better regulated as well. Companies along the lines of Bellucci Premium will be able to tell you all about this oil's great properties.

The aroma that a food has can actually cause people to eat it in shorter stints, depending on how strong it is. If you bring a more potent scent to a cake, for example, it's possible that people are not going to eat it with big bites like they might have done otherwise. It probably goes without saying that there are other factors which play into this but sometimes people don't put as much weight into the element of smell as they probably should.

"Low-fat" seems to be the magic word when it comes to healthier food. While I am not exactly against this term in particular, it seems to give people the opportunity for them to overeat and not feel guilty about doing so. There has to be a better way for people to feel full and I think that this is where the oil comes into play, especially with a particular experiment that involved yogurt. The oil was infused with this particular product and it allowed the people who ate it to feel full, which is something that couldn't have been easily achieved otherwise.

The senses which people naturally have come into play when talking about food products but olive oil is another kind of animal, I feel. Taste is something which is a given, seeing as how people make use out of it constantly. What I don't think people take into account is how smell is incorporated. It may not be the most commonly utilized sense but it's clear that it's another reason for fans of this particular oil to utilize it further down the road.
