The Best BBQ Sauces For Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

A great barbecue needs a killer sauce. If you want to prepare slow cooker pulled pork, try a new sauce every time. Play with different spices and herbs, add new ingredients, and use your creativity. Pulled pork goes well with hot sauce, mustard sauce, vinegar sauce and more. You can add more or less sugar, salt, and pepper to create the perfect taste.

Carolina style BBQ sauce - This flavorful sauce is mustard and vinegar based. It goes great with pulled pork. The main ingredients are black and white pepper, cider vinegar, water, chili powder, light brown sugar, cayenne, butter, soy sauce, and liquid smoke. In a pan, mix all ingredients expect soy, smoke, and butter. Simmer for half an hour. After adding the remaining ingredients, mix for another 10 minutes.

Mustard sauce - This mustard based barbecue sauce goes well with most dishes, including slow cooker pulled pork. Key ingredients include balsamic vinegar, yellow mustard, brown sugar, butter, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne. Mix all ingredients and simmer for half an hour.

Sweet and tangy barbecue sauce - While the pork rests in the crockpot, whisk ketchup, hot sauce, honey, cider vinegar, molasses, and liquid smoke in a separate bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Coca Cola sauce - Cut two onions into small pieces. In a separate bowl, mix cayenne pepper, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, coca cola, salt, and ketchup. Add all ingredients, including the onions, in a pan. Boil and then simmer until the sauce becomes thick.

Tomato barbecue sauce - This is one of the best barbecue sauces for slow cooker pulled pork. It's very easy to prepare. The main ingredients are apple cider vinegar, ketchup, red pepper flakes, tomatoes, salt, and sugar. Add these ingredients to a pan and stir until sugar dissolves. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
