Amazing drive-through meals

If you grew up in the 60s, or watch such television shows such as Happy Days, you're familiar with the drive-in restaurants. Back then, these were pretty much a hype. Waiters back then were usually girls and they were called "Car hops". Each of these "car hops" wore their own respective uniforms or costumes whenever they're on service. The use of roller skates for waiters were very popular and very efficient back then.

All you have to do is pull up your car in the drive through then a "car hop" would immediately come rolling in to take your order. Your order will then soon arrive on a special tray that is hooked on your car window. You'd consume the food and put the trash run on the tray, on the horn, and the car hop would come and retrieve your tray. Drive-ins were the subject of many of the beach boy movies, some of them were even famous.

A lot of drive-in restaurants back then and today serve popular fast foods such as burgers, fries and soft drinks. A few drive throughs were able to come up with innovations on their menu like the grilled cheese sandwich and the special orders for chicken.

With the constant improvement of technology comes also the improvements in the drive through business. They don't have the car hops and special uniforms or servers on skates. A lot other drive through establishments however still serve food in the same way as back in the days. Their set up is pretty much simple and the prices are very much affordable. Still, others are major companies with drive-ins around the nation. What is the best drive-in food?

There are tons of great drive-ins however the one on the top of the list would be "Sonic". Some of the newest features of these modern drive-ins are the specialized menus, easy parking and the drive through where a customer can simply make an order and wait for it. Gone are the days when they bring trays that fit on your window. Paper or plastic bags are now utilized to deliver your food right to your car.

Deciding which drive-in food is the best is probably a very personal choice. Considering the oldest food served on restaurants, hamburgers seem to stand out and most favored. For most drive-ins, the burger is the best food since it can be prepared in a very few minutes and the price is quite convenient to any budget.

Other renowned drive-in restaurants like A&W as well as Dairy Queen however offer various other foods for their customers. A lot of these customers visit these drive-ins for their own specific specialty food. Most of these drive-ins feature a special food that most consumers can identify with. A good example of these special foods in menus is the "Six dollar burger" from Carl Junior's drive-in restaurant.

Over the years, such drive-ins as Dairy Queen, specialized in ice cream. Furthermore, other establishments such as A&W featured root beers from all their other foods.

Obviously, the Burger King or the Big Mac can never be faced out when it comes to specialty food from drive-in restaurants. With this, burger really stands out to be the best food when it comes to drive-in foods.

Many people have been concerned about the ingredients in some of these foods, and such stores like McDonald's began serving healthier meals such as salads and fruits. Essential contrarily well.
